Privacy Notice
Personal data that you provide when registering to receive information about the conference or when registering as a participant will be processed by the Swedish Copyright Society (Svenska Föreningen for Upphovsratt, SFU).
The personal data processed consists of information that you provide yourself, such as your name, email address, organisation, position, and any other information necessary for administering the conference.
Your personal data is processed in order to:
- provide information about the conference and its programme,
- administer registrations and participation,
- communicate with participants before, during, and after the conference,
- manage invoicing and other administrative matters related to the conference,
- document the conference through photographs and other materials that may be published on SFU's website or social media channels.
The legal basis for the processing is the performance of a contract in connection with conference registration and participation, as well as SFU's legitimate interest in informing about and documenting its activities.
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Data processed for conference administration is normally deleted within six months after the conference has concluded, unless a longer retention period is required by law, for example under accounting legislation.
Photographs and other documentation published on SFU's website or social media channels may be retained until SFU determines that the material is no longer relevant or until you object to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for continued processing.
If you do not wish to appear in photographs or other published documentation, you may notify SFU when registering or contact SFU at a later stage.
SFU uses Eddy.se AB as a data processor for the processing of personal data described above.
You have the right to request access to your personal data, request correction of inaccurate information, request erasure where applicable under data protection legislation, and object to certain processing activities.
If you believe that SFU processes your personal data in violation of applicable data protection legislation, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten) or another competent data protection authority within the EU/EEA.
